The Bauchi State Command of the NSCDC, under Commandant Susane Yavala has paraded successes recorded in the fight against crime in the area since assumption of office in May, 2020, as made available to the press below.

On 8/10/2020 at about 0900hours, men of NSCDC attached to Kirfi Division on patrol along shalfori village came across a number of people suspected to be pipeline vandals, upon sitting the officers, they took to their heels, the officers gave them a hot chase and were able to arrest two suspects and others escape into the bush. The suspects are:
1) Ya'u shuaibu, M, 42 years and
2) Yakubu Garba,M, 43 years.
Items recovered from the scene includes:
1. Toyota Corolla with reg no: Bauchi AA 985-ALK.
2. 2 Bajaj Boxer motorcycles with reg no: Bauchi ALK-338 WJ and Lagos JJJ- 451 QK
3.20 empty jerrycans
4. A shovel
5. A how
6. Rubber buckets
7. Funnels
The suspects have been charged to court.
