An accident has occurred involving an ash coloured Toyota Sienna wagon Car, with vehicle registration number ENU 609 CN, around Ekulo River, along Onitsha - Owerri expressway, Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State. 

According to an eye witness account, the cause of the accident was attributed to over speeding. The driver of the Toyota Sienna car was said to be on a top speed when he suddenly lost control, leading to the vehicle summersulting into a ditch around the Ekulo river.

7 persons, including 5 male, 2 female adults were involved in the tragic incident; the victims were rushed to a nearby hospital by FRSC officials, where 2 persons were confirmed dead while 3 others sustained serious injuries and currently receiving treatment.

The Sector Commander, Anambra State, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi while sympathizing with families of the accident victims, urged motorists to always maintain regulated speed limits to avoid tragic accidents on our highway due to loss of control of their vehicles. ■END
