Bus driver killed in a Fatal road traffic crash

A tragic road accident involving the driver of an unidentified Mark Tanker driver with vehicle registration number: ENU224YY and a private Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number: GWA25TM occured today 11th March, 2022 at about 7am.

According to eyewitness, the Hiace bus driver was on a top speed when in a bid to overtake a moving vehicle without knowing there was a broken down pick-up van, tried to manoeuvre his way before ramming into the Mark truck.

The incident involved 3 male adults with 1 male (the bus driver) reportedly dead on the spot, while 2 persons were rescued unhurt. body of the deceased has been deposited at the wisdom mortuary, Awkuzu.

According to a release by the acting Public Education Officer, FRSC Anambra State, DRC Margaret Onabe, the Sector Commander of the Anambra State FRSC, Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi has commiserated with the family of the deceased, while warning motorist in Anambra State to refrained from wrongful overtaking and be vigilant while driving; the Sector Commander also admonished all road users to endeavour to keep the roads safe from crash at all times ■ END.
