The Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC Imo State Command has handed over the sum of Three hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N350, 000.00) only, being monies recovered from vehicle of a fatal accident that occurred around Okigwe axis of the enugu-Aba highway. The money which was handed over to relatives of the victim was presented to them by the Unit Commander FRSC Okigwe axis. Details as contained in a Press Release as attached■ END

PRESS RELEASE

The officers and men of Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, Okigwe Unit Command of Imo State carried out a rescue operation of some accident victims on 22nd March 2022.

During the rescue exercise, the sum of three hundred and fifty thousand Naira (N350, 000.00) was recovered from the vehicle.

The Unit Commander, YD Bitrus handed over the money to the family of the dead victim Abubakar Isialka.

The family appreciated the effort of the Federal Road Safety Corps Imo state Command for their honesty and dedication to work.

In his response, the Sector Commander FRSC Imo state Sector Command, Corps Commander Joshua oluwafemi adekanye (fsi) advised motorists in the State to always avoid excessive speed. He identified excessive speeding as one of the causable factors behind road crashes on the highways.
