APC YOUTHS NORTH CENTRAL BACK OSITA IZUNASO.

A political preasure group, the North Central Progressives Forum (NCPF) an group within the APC Youth wing, has added it's voice in clamouring for zoning the Senate Presidency to the Southeast and particularly narrowing their support to Sen. Osita Izunaso, the Senator-elect for Imo West senatorial district.

Briefing news men during a Press conference at the APC National Secretariat Abuja, leader of the group, the Rt. Comrade  Adanu Isaiah explained that the decision of the NCPF to support Sen. Osita Izunaso was borne out of their collective conviction that Izunaso remains the only candidate among the contenders that posseses the right pedigree, integrity, experience, competence and temperament to steer the ship of the 10th senate to the right direction.

Leader of the group decried the inability of the party to reward loyalty, service and dedication as inappropriate, adding that Osita's dexterity and extreme sacrifice among others in 2012 culminated into the merger that is today known as the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the press release after the conference, what stands Osita out as preferred candidate among other aspirants include visible and verifiable credentials which he will adequately deploy in rebranding the 10th Senate whose corporate integrity and image has seriously dwindled over the years.

Continuing, Comrade Adamu futher explained that Sen. Osita Izunaso had served as former chief press secretary to Former speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Agunwa Anaekwe, he was an aide to former Senate President, late Evan Enwerem, Former Governor of Imo state Achike Udenwa, and as National Organizing Secretary of APC from 2013 to 2018, arguing that with such antecedents Izunaso has paid his dues and therefore deserves to be adequately compensated.

The group lamented that anything short of allowing the Southeast produce the next Senate President will be amount to injustice to the geopolitical zone that made enormous sacrifice in the formation of the APC. 

Comrade Adamu reaterated that the zone producing two APC Governors and six Senators are enough grounds for them to be well compensated.

The North Central Progressive Forum (NCPF) explained that it is only when Southeast is allowed to produce the Senate President that the North Central can also stand a better chance of being adequately accomodated in the political equation of things in Nigeria ■ END
