Imo Guber: Ministers, S/E Governors, Endorse Uzodimma

As the November 11 Governorship election is set to hold in Imo State, Governors and Ministers of the Southeast extraction have declared total support for the re-election of Gov. Hope Uzodimma for a second term, while passionate appeal is being made to the people of the Southeast and Imo in particular, to renew their kind support and understanding for the re-election of the Governor, so as to join the path of tne mainstream national politics for the maximum benefit of democratic dividends

This was contained in a statement signed in Abakaliki by Barr. Uchenna Orji, the Chief Press Secretary to the Hon. Minister of Works, on Wednesday November 7, 2023.

Barr Orji disclosed that the incumbent Governor of Imo State, who currently doubles as, the Chairman South East and Progressive Governors' Forum is as an asset for Imo State and indeed the entire South East, considering his performance, which outweighs the previous administrations, his capacity and competence in handling local and national matters including his contacts and influence in national affairs.

He advised that, the people of Imo State should better not gamble with the huge opportunities presented for the development of the State under Sen. Hope Uzodimma; saying that "The good roads now in Imo State, the new face of the capital city, the progressive change in the social-economic history of the State and the fact that he currently doubles as the Chairman, South East and APC Governors' Forum should be major considerations that should count in his favour."

He explained that Governors, Senators, Ministers and major leaders of the zone are firmly behind the re- election of Senator Hope Uzodimma, because to them, Sen. Uzodimma is an asset to Imo State and South East in general. 

Barr Orji further stated that "The South East leaders such as Hon. Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi are sensitizing the people of the South East on the gains of voting for the APC Governorship candidate in the coming election and supporting the Renewed Hope administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu"; expressing confidence that with this understanding, the coast is clear that Sen. Hope Uzodimma will cruise to victory in the guber poll. END
