ELECTORAL VIOLENCE: NIPR President Canvasses Youths Inclusivity

The President and Chairman of Council of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Dr Ike Neliaku has canvassed for conscious inclusion and integration of the Nigerian youths in INEC's regular media parley, so as give the youths a sense of belonging, opportunity to rub minds, interact and inteface with the highest decision making officials of the nation's electoral umpire, INEC, for the youths to get first hand information of updates of Nigeria's election matters.

Dr Ike Neliaku made his position known Thursday, March 21, 2024, during the quarterly media  briefing of INEC in their National Headquarters in Abuja. 

The NIPR President said, if the youths are properly integrated into scheme of things in election matters, the measure will drastically reduce electoral violence, confrontations and unnecessary frictions during elections in the country.

In his response, INEC Chairman, Prof momood said he is in agreement with the observations made by the NIPR President, stating that going forward, the commission shall put merchieries in place to implement the suggestions in an efforts to properly carry the youths along. END
