100 DAYS IN OFFICE: 

RT. HON. JUSTICE NZE'S TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP IN  IKEDURU LGA 

As Rt. Hon. Justice Nze marks his first 100 day in office as the Executive Chairman of Ikeduru Local Government Area, his tenure has been characterized by remarkable achievements and significant infrastructural improvements in Ikeduru. 


INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT

1. Renovation of the Legislative Chamber

The legislative chamber of Ikeduru LGA has undergone a comprehensive renovation, providing a more conducive environment for legislative activities. This development aims at enhancing productivity and efficient governance.

2. Construction of a Standard Convenience Facility

In a bid to improve hygiene and comfort within the council premises, a modern convenience facility has been constructed. This initiative underscores the administration's commitment to maintaining a healthy and well-equipped work environment for the entire staff of the Council. 

3. Periodic clearing of bushes and cleaning of the Entire Council Premises. From the inception of Rt Hon Justice Nze's administration, he has ensured the total clearing of bushes and cleaning of both inside and outside of the entire premises of the council. This is in line with His Excellency,  the Executive Governor's 3R mantra, and the maxim: cleanliness is next to godliness. 

4. Renovation of Councilors’ Offices

The offices of the councilors have been renovated, ensuring that elected representatives have a functional and comfortable space to carry out their duties effectively.

5. Repair of the Executive Chairman’s Office

The Executive Chairman’s office has been repaired and upgraded, ensuring a more befitting and operational workspace for the smooth running of the council. This was done as a result of the sorry state he met the office on assumption of office. 


ECONOMIC AND MARKET REVITALIZATION 

6. Grading and Revitalization of Ikeduru Timber Market, Ngugo

Recognizing the importance of commerce and trade, the administration has graded and revitalized the Ikeduru Timber Market in Ngugo, creating a better business environment for traders and investors to thrive.


ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT

7. Massive Road Grading Across Ikeduru

This administration has embarked on extensive road grading across the 29 autonomous communities in Ikeduru. This project aims to improve accessibility, boost economic activities, and enhance transportation within the local government area.


SPORTS AND YOUTH ENGAGEMENT

8. Youth Sports Federation Cup Competition. 

Youth Sports Federation football competition was successfully organized under the leadership of Arc. Edmund Ohiri, and Team Ikeduru came tops in the state. A beautiful reception was organized by the Executive Chairman in their honor to encourage the team and other youths in the Local Government Area to strive for more exploits.

This initiative has encouraged youth participation in sports, fostering unity and talent development.

9. Governor’s Football Cup.

Ikeduru LGA actively participated in the Governor’s Football Cup competition and came 3rd position in the state, which further demonstrates the administration’s commitment to promoting sports as a tool for youth empowerment and community development.


STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT,  RECOGNITION, AND PARTICIPATION 

10. Periodic Hosting of Ikeduru Stakeholders.

To foster unity and collective decision-making, the administration has been hosting periodic meetings with Ikeduru stakeholders. These gatherings provide a platform for dialogue, policy discussions, and feedback from community leaders.


NATIONAL AWARD WINNER 

11. Award Recognition at the Nigeria Project 774 LGA Connectivity Conference held in Abuja.

Rt. Hon. Justice Nze’s administration gained state recognition when he was unanimously appointed to represent his colleagues in a national event in Abuja. He got there and Ikeduru got national recognition when he got first position at the National competition and won the Federal Minister's award at the Nigeria Project 774 LGA Connectivity Conference held in Abuja in November 2024, barely a month into his administration. This achievement highlights the council’s excellence in governance, infrastructure, and community development.


CONCLUSION:

Rt. Hon. Justice Nze’s first 100 days in office have been marked by visionary leadership, infrastructural development, and active community engagement. His administration's efforts have significantly improved governance, market conditions, road infrastructure, and youth sports development in Ikeduru LGA. As his tenure progresses, constituents and residents look forward to more transformative projects that will better the lives of the Ikeduru people and further enhance the growth and development of the local government area.


WHAT TO EXPECT WITHIN THE NEXT 30 DAYS.

1. Sinking of borehole in the Timber and Allied Market Ngugo with overhead water tank.

2. Building of Abattoir in Eke Atta Market 

3. Building of Toilets facilities in Eke Atta market 

4. Refurbishment of faulty transformer at Umushievelle, Owalla Avuvu.
