RAMADAN MUBARAK: NUJ President Salutes Journalists, Muslim Faithful

Assalamu Alaikum Waramotulah Wabarakatuhu

Esteemed members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ. I am honored to welcome you all, especially our Muslim members, to the holy month of Ramadan. May this sacred period bring us peace, patience, and prosperity.

As we embark on this spiritual journey, I urge you all to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to earn the full rewards of good deeds. Let us strive to be better versions of ourselves, cultivating empathy, kindness, and compassion. May our fasts be a means of purification, our prayers a source of strength, and our deeds a reflection of our devotion.

In this month of Ramadan, I also encourage you to extend charity to the less privileged among us and in the society. As we face economic realities, let us remember those in need and share our blessings with them. May our generosity be a source of comfort and hope for those around us.

As we pray for ourselves and our families, let us not forget to pray for our Union, NUJ, and its leaders. As we use this period to assure you that we will together build a strong and reliable Union. I solicit your support and prayers for our administration to deliver on our campaign promises and take the Union to enviable heights. May Almighty Allah guide us to make decisions that benefit our members and the journalism profession as a whole.

Furthermore, let us use this holy month to pray for our country's leaders. May Almighty Allah guide them to the right path, and may His divine interventions bring peace and prosperity to all sectors of our nation. Ameen.

As we begin this sacred journey, I wish you all a blessed and peaceful Ramadan. 

May Allah accept our fasts, prayers, and good deeds. END
