RAMADAN: Sen. Izunaso Salutes Muslim Community
As the Holy month of Ramadan begins, the member representing Imo West Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Capital Market and Institutions, Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso has extended warmest wishes to Nigerians, Muslim community within the good people of Orlu Zone and the world in general; saying that, "this sacred time of fasting and prayer is an opportunity for a sober reflection, spiritual growth, self-discipline, communal integration and solidarity.
In his message, Senator Osita Izunaso emphasized the importance of the month of Ramadan in fostering unity and compassion among all sections of Nigerians. According to him, "Ramadan is not just a time for fasting, but a period for deepening our faith, strengthening bonds with one another, and reaching out to the needy and down trodden in the society," he stated. "As we embark on this journey of reflection and devotion, let us remember the values of empathy, charity, and togetherness which exist in the heart and integral part of the Holy Ramadan."
Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso encouraged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of Ramadan by engaging in acts of kindness and generosity, supporting the less privileged, and promoting peace within their communities, appealing that "Let us use this time to renew our commitment to building a better Nigeria, where everyone can thrive in harmony,".
Sen. Izunaso urged Nigerians to strive to respect the diverse beliefs and practices enriching the fabric of our dear nation, so as to create atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding, so as to foster unity in diversity among the people.
As the sun sets and the fast begins, Senator Izunaso wishes everyone a blessed Ramadan filled with joy, peace, and fulfillment; praying that, "may the period of Ramadan bring hope and prosperity to all". END
